Mimeticism

Memeticism is the perspective or philosophy that views ideas or cultural elements (memes) as entities that replicate and evolve similarly to biological species, spreading and adapting within host cultures or minds.

Memeology is the study of memes. In this context, a meme is an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture.

Memetics is a theoretical and empirical science that studies the replication, spread and evolution of memes. It uses the evolutionary model of cultural information transfer to explain how and why certain ideas and cultural phenomena spread.
